MARY
L. LOMBARD
Mary
Lombard is President of Body Boutique, Inc., and previously operated
a seasonal business, Frosty Boy at Evergreen Park Business Center,
2030 E. US Hwy. 20, Trail Creek.
Elected the
Michigan Township Trustee first in 1990 and re-elected in 1994,
1998, 2002 and 2006, she is in charge of all township poor relief assistance
and oversees a staff of township employees.
Her honors include
the 1997 Women in Management Athena Award recipient and Indiana's
1995 "Township of the Year" by the Indiana Township Association.
She serves on the board of directors of the Workforce Investment
Board (WIB), Meals on Wheels, the Business Advisory Council of Michiana
Resources, North Central Community Action Agency, Business and Professional
Women's Club and was awarded the organization's Woman of the Year
honors in 1996.
She also serves
on the board of directors of the Stepping Stone Shelter for Women
and the local and Regional Welfare to Work Planning Councils and
the Michigan City Summer Festival Committee. She is a past
officer of the Trail Creek Republican Women's Club and was voted
woman of the year by the First District Federation of Republican
Women in 1990 where she serves as the organization's Assistant Director.
She is chairman of the Trail Creek Republican party.
Also, she is
a member of the LaPorte County Trustees Association and served
on the Board of Directors of the the Miss Indiana Scholarship Program,
the Finance Committee for Citizens Concerned for the Homeless and
Indiana's Criminal Justice subcommittee of the Commission on the
Social Status of African American Males.
Mary was elected
and served as Northwest Indiana Area Director of the Indiana Township
Association and is a past board member of the Food Bank of Northwest
Indiana.
She is married
to her husband Ron, an elected member of the Trail Creek council
and they have 3 children, Debra (deceased), Jeffrey and Bart.
The Lombards have 4 grandchildren.
