Welcome to the new ALCo.org aka AllCommunity.org. We are a non-proffit 503c(3) organization designed to forward technology and information in LaPorte County.

This new Web site was designed by Tony Comegys of aradise.com to allow members of our community to build it's own virtual community online. The site is built on a content management platform called Joomla!, which allows users to register, request permission, then add and edit content related to them. For example, the American Red Cross in LaPorte can register, log in, post a story, add an event to the calendar and suggest a link or two to their national Web site. Joe Citizen can also log in, watch a video from the City Council Meeting last night, rate a post and even submit his own article, perhaps about an upcoming bake sale. We love bake sales!

It's sounds remarkable, we know, but it can be even more so with your help. We need community participation to make AllCommunity.org a huge resource and a useful portal for citizens in Northwest Indiana. We're just getting started, so be patient, and lend a hand where and when you can.
